REMOVE THE WEEDS

REMOVE THE WEEDS [T-H-I-N-K]

A lot of us try to force progress—working harder, pushing more, loading up the to-do lists—yet we still feel stuck.
But growth isn’t always about doing more.

Often, it’s about removing the mental weeds: the distractions, the limiting beliefs, the unnecessary commitments.
Just like the gardener, we thrive when we clear space for what matters.
So instead of asking, “What more should I do?” ask, “What’s holding me back?” When you start subtracting the noise, you make room for clarity, purpose, and momentum. Clean your studio, set up systems for your art business, take some downtime.
Sometimes, the most powerful transformation comes not from addition—but from subtraction. Simplify in order to strengthen.

A man asked a gardener why his plants grew so beautifully. The gardener said:  “I don’t force them to grow; I remove what stops them.”

FAVORITE QUOTE [k-n-o-w]
“Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision.”

~Winston Churchill

Every time you step up to the plate to create something new, you’re building courage. Be willing to try. This is how we become confident in our work.

1% BETTER IS ENOUGH [g-r-o-w]

According to James Clear in Atomic Habits, small daily improvements—just 1% at a time—can compound into remarkable change. Over a year, that’s a 37x transformation.

You throw a bucket of water on a rock and it doesn’t do anything.

You let a drop of water fall onto a rock every day and it creates a hole.

Consistency beats intensity.
