Frequently Asked Questions
-
A giclée (zhee-CLAY) is a museum-grade fine art print made with archival pigment inks on acid-free paper or canvas. It's the standard museums and galleries use for reproductions — rated to resist fading for decades, far beyond an ordinary poster or photo print.
-
Each print is made from a high-resolution capture of the original, so the color, depth, and detail carry over faithfully. Originals are singular — layered, textured, one of a kind — while prints make the imagery available at more sizes and price points. Many collectors live with both.
-
Yes. Nothing sits in a warehouse — each print is produced when you order it, then shipped directly to you. Made-to-order also means every print is inspected fresh rather than pulled from old stock.
-
Prints are offered on archival fine art paper or stretched canvas, in sizes ranging from 16”x20” to 48”x72”. If you'd love a piece at a size you don't see, reach out — larger or custom dimensions are often possible, depending on the image.
-
Yes. For canvas prints, you can choose a framed option at checkout, or order unframed and work with your local framer. Paper prints ship unframed. -
Because each print is made to order, please allow 5-7 business days for production plus 3-7 days shipping time. You'll receive tracking as soon as it's on its way.

If your print arrives damaged, contact me within 48 hours (cat@artbycat.com). Take photos of the outer packaging and the damaged print. Hold onto the damaged print and its packaging for at least 5 business days. Once damage is verified, a replacement will be produced at no additional charge.
Keep the original packaging, as the carrier (such as UPS) may need to pick it up for inspection. -
The prints offered here are specially selected for each collection and don't include everything I've painted. Some works are reserved exclusively for their original collectors, and others were never captured at print quality. If there's a specific piece you're hoping for, you're welcome to ask — but many paintings will only ever exist as the original.
